A month of radical generosity

This Christmas in July, we're excited for the opportunity to come alongside of and support our Local Impact Partners throughout the month. Check out the opportunities below which include not only financial gifts, but also physical donations to fill the various needs of multiple organizations. If every adult at Grace gives $40 (either as a digital donation or in the form of physical items), we will be able to meet all of the designated needs at each Campus! And as part of Grace's annual Christmas in July, ALL financial gifts and donated items go straight to the organizations and projects listed.

Drop off Items

The Upper Arlington Campus will be supporting local UA families identified through the Upper Arlington School District. We'll be collecting food, household items, and personal care items from wishlists they have submitted. You'll have two options to provide needed items:

  1. Through an Amazon wishlist.
  2. Through the "Angel Tree" located in the Lobby. Each ornament on the tree lists one of the requested items, and you'll be able to select the item(s) that you'd like to provide, purchase them, and drop them at a collection space located in the Lobby.

Items should be purchased and/or dropped off at the Upper Arlington Campus no later than July 31.

Financial Gifts

Grace will be splitting all financial gifts given among the following organizations:

Lower Lights Ministries is a non-profit organization that works to break cycles of poverty and addiction for youth, adults, and ex-offenders in the Central Ohio area. One way they accomplish this is by offering Recovery Housing and Family Housing to those working towards sobriety and independence. As part of Christmas in July, Grace will give financially to:

  • Remodel one of the Family Homes. The property is in need of repairs before a single mom and her child can move in.
  • Furnish a women's recovery house.
  • Purchase 8 laptops so that Lower Lights staff members can work effectively to support their incredible programming.

Star House is Central Ohio's only drop-in center for youth ages 14 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness along with their children. The organization offers a safe respite from the streets, immediate access to basic needs, and connections to stabilizing resources such as housing, transportation, health care, employment, education, addiction services, legal aid, government benefits, ID cards, and more. During this year's Christmas in July, Grace will give financially to supply Star House with:

  • One year of laundry supplies.
  • Six months of hygiene items.
  • Food to stock their kitchen with essentials.

Pregnancy Decision Health Center (PDHC) provides essential services and resources to mothers experiencing difficult or unexpected pregnancies. As part of Christmas in July, Grace will supply PDHC with six months worth of big ticket items that are often difficult for their clients to obtain:

  • Strollers and car seats
  • Bassinets, Pack 'N Plays, cribs
  • High chairs and baby swings
