The Grace Institute is a new ministry designed to develop people at Grace to better understand and apply God's Word to their everyday lives. The courses offered will be taught at a college level by both seminary professors and pastor/directors here at Grace. Courses are offered in 6-week sessions during fall, winter, and spring. (Childcare is not available)

Available Courses

Interpreting The Bible (6 weeks)

Students will develop a foundation of how to properly analyze Scripture in its original context, interpret scripture in respect to Jesus' work on the cross, and its application for a follower of Jesus. Students will learn the OIA (Observation, Interpret, and Application) method of exegesis and how to properly apply it in unique types of Biblical genres.

Participants will meet Sunday evenings from 4 to 5:30 pm in The Venue at the Pickerington Campus starting February 17.  

Instructional cost is $25; no childcare provided.

Knowing Jesus as The Son of God: A Study in the Gospel of John (6 weeks)

In this course, participants will conduct an expository review of the Gospel of John. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to attest to the fundamental truths of the Christian faith and create an outline of Jesus' teaching and discipleship style. 

Those participating in this group will meet Sunday afternoons from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm in The Venue at the Pickerington Campus starting March 31. There will be no class the weekend of Easter.

Systematic Theology: God the Son, God The Spirit and The Church (6 weeks)

In this course, learners will examine the person of Christ, work of Christ, and the role of the Holy Spirit. Learners will study redemption accomplished through Christ and applied through the Spirit, as well as Church doctrine and her ongoing mission from a systematic perspective.

Those participating in this group will meet Sunday evenings from 4 to 5:30 pm in The Venue at the Pickerington Campus starting May 19.
