My first trip to Cambodia did not leave me anticipating a return trip. The month I spent there in 2013 was plenty long enough, and I never planned to return. But God had other plans!

In 2014, God started working in my heart. He made it clear that Cambodia was a place I should be praying about as I heard something about that area every single day for seven months through conversations, news, social media, and even through sermons! That’s not something you can ignore. This led to multiple short-term trips and then a year-long missions internship in 2016-2017.

During my year in Cambodia, I fell in love with the people there! They are hungry for the hope of Christ, and the field is ripe for harvest! As I taught English, I saw so many opportunities to use my teaching skills, and with almost half of the population being under the age of 21, I was able to spend time sharing the Gospel with children, which is a huge passion of mine!

I plan to move to Cambodia in the fall of 2021, to attend language school and focus on learning the culture. Once that is complete, I will join one of World Team’s ministries, using the gifts of teaching God has given me to point others to Jesus.

Here are ways you can partner with me on this journey:

  • Pray for the hearts of the people in Southeast Asia to be open to the Gospel.
  • Pray that I will continue to trust God’s timing in the remaining parts of the preparation process (support raising, pre-field training, applying for a visa, etc.)
  • Consider partnering with me financially.
