January 2024 – My Village Ministries
Once children are in the foster care system, they have less than a 50% chance of ever being reunified with their family. My Village Ministries’ hope is to step in and provide help and resources to families facing crisis.
Their belief is that the best solution is not to simply remove a child out of an unhealthy family, but to partner in bringing health to that family so that they are able to raise and nurture their own child in a healthy, stable environment.
They specifically raise up volunteers to host children in their homes for a short period of time while parents get their feet back on the ground, as well as provide support and resources to parents and host families.
At My Village Ministries, through bringing the support and stability of a community around a family, they are able to reunify families 99.9% of the time.
In January, Grace gave $18,277 that provided funding for at least 15 placements in Columbus.
