Why be a Grace Resident?
For those who are pursuing a call to serve vocationally through a local church, Grace Fellowship has designed a two-year ministry resident program to assist in, clarify, and affirm that calling. The program’s aim is to equip and invest in men and women living Jesus-centered lives who have a deep conviction to serve His Kingdom, and to help them find their best fit in vocational ministry.

The Program
The Resident Program began in 2015 in order to lengthen Grace’s leadership bench as we sought to launch new campuses in the greater Columbus area. Since then, we have seen residents step into full-time positions both at Grace and in other ministries.
The Design
The design is to spend 25 hours per week in both “hands on” learning coupled with theological and cultural reflection. Ideally, the resident will have completed or be in the process of completing a degree program which will best suit their intentions upon completion of the program.
All residents play a key role in growing gospel influence through our ministries and are closely mentored through Grace’s leadership and the resident supervisor. For this reason, we require that all residents live within the greater Columbus area (or about 15-20 minutes from one of our campuses).
Each resident will be salaried at $20,000 annually paid every two weeks with an additional $3,000 fund to support continuing education/schooling. As a resident, your salary will not be based on performance, history or experience. The program is renewable after the first year.
What To Expect
Residents spend their first 12 months in rotation through six of the ministry departments or specific campuses within Grace, learning first hand how and helping to lead in areas of those ministries.
During the second year, each resident will focus their time in one specific area of ministry which they believe they ultimately feel called to serve in. The program is set up for those who are naturally proactive – virtually every door at Grace will be open for you to explore and learn how to grow in your ministry understanding.

Noah Hazelrig
Former Resident
“I came into the Residency Program not knowing where I fit in full-time vocational ministry, and after a year of amazing opportunities in many different areas, I've truly found my place. Without the Residency Program I never would have gotten to experience so many sides of ministry, that then lead to such confidence in the one place I belonged.”

Alex Shaver
Former Resident
“I’ve learned so much about ministry, the local church, and myself in this short time. I’ve been challenged and stretched in my call to ministry while working along side an amazing staff that pushes me to Jesus.”

Tyler Piatt
Former Resident, Current Staff Member
“My residency at Grace has solidified my heartfelt calling into ministry. If I wasn’t in a moment of being taught, I was in a moment of being stretched and if I wasn’t in a moment of finding my identity in Christ, I was learning my passions and gifts. In every avenue I was given the ability to grow and for every opportunity, I am deeply thankful.”
