3rd-5th graders are in a tricky stage. Their bodies and minds are changing rapidly, and sometimes, their emotions feel bigger than they are. Imagine being thrown into a scene in a play without knowing your lines. That's how kids can feel when their emotions take over: unprepared, unsure, UNSCRIPTED. Because of these strong feelings, they can sometimes end up in situations they didn't expect or even perceive their own emotions as negative. Yet, these emotions are beautiful gifts from God. He intends these feelings to be a part of their journey and is always there to guide them through these turbulent times, helping them understand and appreciate the depth of their emotions.

PACKING LIST

HERE'S WHAT TO BRING

Label EVERYTHING with your child's name. Campus team colors will be coming soon!

What to Bring: Students will have to carry their own luggage to their dorm, so it is best to pack it all in one big suitcase with wheels to make it easier. Try to condense everything into one bag if possible.

  • Bible and a pen
  • A pillow and sleeping bag (OR twin bedding)
  • Clothes for the 3 days (be sure to include at least one extra outfit just in case). 
    • PAINT WARS -  you will want to pack one outfit students can get VERY MESSY in (as in paint). They should also bring a shower cap if they do not want it in their hair! 
    • NOTE: Please check the forecast and be sure to pack weather appropriate clothing.
  • 2 pairs of shoes (a pair of sneakers and flip flops or water shoes)
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, towel, washcloth, etc) 
  • Swimsuit and towel (make sure you can PLAY in your swimsuit and everything stays covered – no bikinis for girls) 
  • Sunscreen in a ziplock bag 
  • Snacks (no peanuts please)

DO NOT BRING:

  • NO MONEY (there is no place or need to purchase anything)
  • NO ELECTRONICS (cell phone, iPod, iPad, etc - there is very limited service at camp, and we do not want to lose an expensive item)
  • Please label ALL items with your child's first and last name or initials to keep things from becoming lost or misplaced.

MEDICATIONS:

All medications should be in a ziploc bag labeled with your child's name. Our camp nurse is Rachel Ross, PA. We will collect all medications at check-in and keep them for the weekend. If you child has medication, please complete the medication form to turn in WITH the medication at check-in.
